Alhambra - Keswick

”Love means never having to say you’re sorry”

Love Story

Sorry, but All'Opera: La Bohème is either started or over at Alhambra - Keswick.

Opera lovers can experience the emotions of the Parisian love story on April 18th with the LA BOHÈME filmed LIVE from the Teatro Comunale di Bologna. A new production set up by the stage director Graham Vick and conducted by the Artistic Director of the Theatre, Michele Mariotti, with a cast of four talented artists young as the lovers of the opera by Giacomo Puccini. When Rodolfo, a penniless poet, meets Mimì, a seamstress, they fall instantly in love. But their happiness is threatened when Rodolfo learns that Mimì is gravely ill. Puccini’s romantic depiction of bohemian Paris, with memorable music and a love story drawn from everyday life, has captivated audiences around the world, making La bohème one of the best-loved of all operas. It was first performed in Covent Garden in 1897 and has had more than five hundred performances there since.
