• FAQs

    Can I reserve a seat?

Yes, since coronavirus (in order to allow us to ensure social distancing), we have adopted an online seat-allocation system, so all tickets sold are for an allocated seat.

How can I book using my gift voucher/complimentary ticket?

Unfortunately our system is not yet advanced enough for you to be able to do this yourself online - please email us on alhambracinema@gmail.com or call 017687 72195 with details of film/time/no. of seats, approximately where you'd like to sit, and we'll do that for you and email you the confirmation. You can also just show up on the door with your voucher/complimentary ticket when you want to see a film - we do usually have plenty of free seats available, but of course that can't be guaranteed.

Do I have to book online/in advance?

No, you can also purchase your ticket at the Alhambra at the time of the film. If you are booking in advance, and can't do it yourself online, you can do it in person from the box office when we are open, or by calling us on 017687 72195. It is a good idea to buy in advance for very popular films and for some of our live Special Events, but most of the time we have plenty of seats available.

What is there to eat and drink?

We sell a range of very reasonably-priced alcoholic and soft drinks, water, confectionary, nuts, popcorn and Lakeland ice-cream.

    Are you wheelchair accessible?

Yes, for downstairs (in the stalls), with an accessible toilet also.

Do you have audio induction loop installed?

When is the next Keswick Film Festival?

Check the Keswick Film Festival website.

    How do the E-tickets work?

Once you have booked your ticket, you will receive a confirmation email and a reminder email on the date of the screening, which will include a copy of your e-ticket. No need to print this out, you can just tell us your name and details on arrival, we'll have the info, including your seat number. You can book tickets for as many people as you want: just forward them the confirmation email for them to present at the gate. You do not need to show the credit card you used to make the booking when you arrive at the cinema.

    I didn’t get my e-ticket!

Make sure you entered/are checking the correct email address. If you may have entered the wrong email address, email alhambracinema@gmail.com or call us on 017687 72195 (leave a message with your name and phone number, and which film/time you booked), or send the same information via our Contact page, and we ought to be able to establish whether you have indeed made the purchase. If you’re on our list, we’ll let you know and let you in!

Contact us as soon as possible to explain the circumstances if you have made a booking and need to cancel. We may be able to offer you another screening time, or, in certain circumstances and with enough notice, a refund.

Are my credit/debit card details secure?

Our ticket booking system is run by usheru, who connect you to Stripe, which is a 100% secure payment platform that processes your online booking – they are the best in the business at card protection. Neither the Keswick Alhambra nor Usheru receives any of your credit card information, only your name and email address.

    Will my data be secure?

Yes, we value your privacy and will not pass on your data. See more about our data and privacy policy in the Terms & Conditions section of this website

Our website is powered by usheru, the trading name of We Love Cinema Ltd., which is a ticket and marketing analytics provider used by cinemas, film festivals, film event organisers, and film distributors.

Do you do relaxed or parent and baby screenings?

Yes, we hold regular screenings where we keep the lights on low for visibility, sound a bit lower than usual, and where the sound of infants or other more noisy or restless or jiggly cinema patrons is to be expected (it's a 'no-tutting' environment!). All are welcome at these screenings - head for the balcony at stalls prices if you are not accompanied by an infant. We have a changing table in the disabled loo, and lots of room for prams. Under 24 months free. (For 15 cert films where we have a special licence from the Council, only babies under 12 months allowed). To find out what is on, and help us select films, join our Keswick Alhambra Parents & Babies FB Group.
